My name is Stephanie Vučko. I am a busy, working mother of two beautiful children, a boy 10 and a girl 8. I completely understand juggling family life, kids, work, activities, etc. I also HATE making lunches! And that’s how Little Wolf's L’OVEN became an idea.​ Combining my passion for baking and not wanting to buy so many processed and over sugary snacks for my kids.

As a child I remember standing on the wooden chairs in my grandmothers kitchen, wearing my mini apron and helping her make cookies, as well as more traditional Slovenian desserts like strudels and potica (rolled walnut loaf). I still have my little aprons that my children now wear when we are baking together. 

 

I have so many wonderful memories and traditions from both my grandmother’s and my mom's kitchens. I would love for my children to have their own wonderful memories in the kitchen. Most of my career has been as a dedicated educator, however I have always had a love and passion for baking. So much so that I went back to school and graduated in the Lester B. Pearson Pastry Program. I am MAPAQ certified and can now call myself a pastry chef! 

 

Curious about how Little Wolf’s L’OVEN got its name... My family heritage is Slovenian and my family name, Vučko, means “Little Wolf” in Slovenian. My kids, my husband and I also refer to ourselves as Team Little Wolf!
